About Twig

Twig Education is looking for a dynamic and proactive School Sales Representative who will be responsible for moving leads through the sales funnel to exceed our new business goals. You will work primarily with inbound leads, from schools in the UK and around the World, but will also work closely with our exceptional sales and marketing team to ensure we continue to build our pipeline of business. The ideal candidate is passionate about supporting teachers and students, thrives in a creative and SaaS environment and is committed to providing exceptional sales experiences. 

Twig Education is a multi-award winning education company that develops and delivers a wide range of learning and teaching resources. We specialise in creating outstanding short 2-3 min films, to help teachers teach and kids learn key learning points within the curriculum in the areas of Science, Maths and Geography. We first launched in 2011 and our resources are now used by over 150,000 teachers, in 78 countries and in 19 different languages. 

Schools in the UK and around the world purchase annual and multi-year subscriptions to our products, Tigtag Junior (ages 4-6), Tigtag (ages 7-11) and Twig (ages 11-16), which are delivered via websites online.

Here’s what you will be doing:
  • Management of an in-bound opportunity pipeline to meet and exceed new business targets.

  • Ownership of new business prospecting for the UK and responsible for creating quarterly plans to achieve quotas.

  • Conduct effective discovery and qualification conversations with prospects. 

  • Communication of the value proposition and unique nature of Twig Education products and building relationships via effective and direct means, such as telephone, online call, presentation or email. 

  • Collaboration with our marketing team to develop engaging and successful social, media and mail campaigns and activities to increase our in-bound pipeline volume. 

  • Conducting engaging demonstrations to present how our solutions can support our customers

  • Developing understanding of our products, competitors and customers. 

  • Development of creative strategies for engaging and nurturing prospects.

  • Collaboration with the senior sales team to develop ways to improve the new business sales process and customer experience. 

  • Provision of regular, accurate sales forecasts.

  • Provision of exceptional sales house-keeping and lead status administration using Salesforce.

  • Other sales duties as required

Here's what you should have
  • 2+ years of demonstrated sales success, preferably selling SaaS products within the education sector.

  • Experience with telephone sales – particularly high volume 

  • Proven success with inbound and outbound sales conversion, pipeline creation and management

  • Demonstrated experience in managing a high-volume personal sales pipeline

  • A proven track record of meeting or exceeding performance objectives, including revenue and pipeline targets

  • Experience utilizing CRM and sales engagement technology (Salesforce, NetSuite, Highspot, Zoom, LinkedIn etc) 

  • An understanding of the UK primary and secondary schools market

  • A keen interest in Edtech, with the ability to learn fast.

  • A hard-working, self-motivated, pro-active and independent person that is willing to achieve excellence.

  • A hunter mentality

  • Creative and assertive communication skills, with exceptional presentation, public speaking and negotiation skills. 

  • An ability to gather and use data to inform decision-making and persuade others

  • Open to feedback and development.
